Editorial Reviews

From the Label
THE CLANCY BROTHERS AND TOMMY MAKEM

CLANCY, MAKEM, FAMILY & FRIENDS- The Lark in the Morning

SEAMUS ENNIS- The Bonny Bunch of Roses

Traditional Irish music at its very best! The first-ever Clancy/Makem album The Lark In The Morning, The Clancy Brothers & Tommy Makem, which catapulted them further toward world-wide fame, and Celtic music authority and Uillean pipist Seamus Ennis’s The Bonny Bunch Of Roses.

Customer Reviews

The standard by which all celtic music should be judged5
The Clancy Brothers have been around for many years, and this collection includes some of their earliest recordings. It is still as good as it was when it was first released. They sing with unmatched enthusiasm. The accompaniment is always secondary to the superb voices, the songs chosen are a good mix of comic and poignant, rolicking and beautiful. Listen to them all from the rueful Whiskey, You're the Devil, to the mournful Lowlands of Holland. If you have never heard them, you are in for a treat, if you are a longtime fan, you may rediscover old favorites.
