"If your easily offended... then this is not for you"5
My uncle used to own a copy of Poi Dog's "Don't Sneeze When You Eat Saimen". When I heard it for the first time (I was about 7), I laughed my ass off. I thought it was one of the funniest things I'd ever heard. This is virtually the same album and it is island humor at it's best (just the way I remember). Is it offensive? To some people sure, but to most people, no. If you want to get a peek into the humorous side of the islander psyche this is a good place to start. If you are an Islander, you'll love this album. I highly recommend this to anyone with a sense of humor

Oh Man, Dis is da kine!! I know mosta dese people.5
I grew up in Hawaii and learned two languages...English and pidgin, along with the ability to know when each was appropriate. Having said that, Rap was a wonderful addition to my life. Too bad he left us at such an early age. While knowlege of modern Hawaii helps you to get some of the "Da Kamaina" humor, Rap is great for anyone who needs a good clean laugh.

Double delight -- a classic album and its sequel5
This cd combines the (Hawaii) classic comedy album Poi Dog with its less classic sequel, Crab Dreams. Poi Dog is consistently hilarious, while Crab Dreams has some definite slow spots. However, you can hardly complain about getting a bonus album thrown in. Listeners unfamiliar with pidgin would probably need a couple of hearings to catch a good bit of the routines, but the effort will be well rewarded. (Not all routines would be difficult; should be easy to understand Mr. Frogtree in room 1225 the first time).
