Nice Idea but the CD is Disappointing!
I'm a huge fan of Calypso music and I love steel drum bands and when I saw this CD I had to buy it for my Christmas music collection because I'm always looking for different, unusual Christmas music to add to my CD collction of more traditional Christmas music but I was disappointed because when I played the CD for me and my family the only Christmas songs that anyone could tell what they were are Have Yourself A Very Merry Christmas, Gloria, White Christmas, and Winter Wonderland, The rest of the songs all sounded the same we couldn't tell what they were, the CD has remained in it's case unplayed again for at least 3 years! I still like the idea of Christmas songs being played by Steel drum bands and hopefully there are better steel drum band Christmas cd's out there that you can tell what song is being played and they don't all sound the same way!

I bought this CD last year and think it is fantastic! If you get sick of the same old Christmas music played over and over and over again in the same way, try this CD. You will be amazed how the style of music can change songs you have heard many times before. Also, there are songs on this CD which you will not be familiar with at all but will enjoy nevertheless. This CD shows how the spirit of Christmas has spread around the globe and been interpreted by the diverse cultures of the world.
