The Advanced Photo System (APS) has inspired new levels of innovation in the point-and-shoot camera category. Though late to the game in bringing APS cameras to market, Olympus more than makes up for its tardiness with the Newpic Zoom 90. What really sets APS cameras apart from their 35mm cousins is ease of use. And the Newpic Zoom 90 is one of the easiest APS point-and-shoot cameras around. The camera has a 30-90mm zoom lens (equivalent to a 38-115mm lens in the 35mm format) with an active autofocus system; the focus lock lets you zero in on subjects that are outside the autofocus range. The Newpic Zoom 90 has six flash modes, including red-eye reduction and fill. As with most APS cameras, film loading is practically idiot-proof and pictures can be formatted in three sizes: Classic (C--4 inches by 6 inches); HDTV (H--4 inches by 7 inches), and Panoramic (P--3.5 inches by 10 inches). The Newpic Zoom 90 includes a self-timer, a diopter viewfinder adjustment, which is important to those who are nearsighted or farsighted, and a time-date stamp function. Great Camera, Glad I bought it
Very nice camera, good quality and a good price. Pick up a cheap APS book for some pointers and don't forget the batteries -- not included :-(

Newpic 90 does the job!
This is a great camera for beginners and shutterbugs who don't have the patience to deal with professional photographic equipment. The APS features are fantastic giving you the ability to capture the entire Harbor Bridge on panoramic, and change film instantly while hanging from a ski lift without concern for film exposure or proper placement inside the camera casing. Its zoom lens is quite long compared to other cameras of the same type and price range. My pictures have always come out clear and crisp. Its also very durable and the rubber grip on the side makes it easy to hold unlike other all metal casing cameras. I have even dropped it in a waterfall, and although it is not waterproof and I wouldn't suggest doing it, the camera still worked after the water drained out of it. If you can still get your hands on one of these cameras, go for it!
