Some details about this recording
I was one of the artists on this CD. It was recorded at DV studios in Shorewood, Wisconsin. Here are some of the players:
Kostia (his piano and synth playing can be heard on the Narada label)
Brett Lipshutz: Flute, Whistles
Chris Buckley: Fiddle, viola
Ed Paloucek: Fiddle
Dan Beimborn: bouzouki, mandolin
At the time the 4 of us were in a Milwaukee band called "180 & the Letter G". Alas, we never recorded our own CD, though if you mentally subtract the chirping crickets and nature sounds from the mix, the tune sets are more or less as we played them in the Milwaukee Irish pub scene in the mid to late 90s!
This was one of those CDs that was on the kiosks where you could press a button of the CD cover to hear a sound sample. Friend reported seeing it all over the country, so I suppose it must have done well!
The Best Celtic Instrumental......
I have several Celtic CD's in my Collection, but this one has to be the best one that I own. The music is not piercing and harsh like most other Irish songs, it really relaxes the mind and body. I originally bought this CD about three years ago, then scratched it so badly that it would not play. I love the Music so much that I have been on a hunt for the past year to buy another; I finally ended up here and was excited to find it.
The Best Celtic CD I own
This is a really great Celtic CD. Once you hear "Sally Garden," you will recognize that the people who did the soundtrack for "Titanic" must have used it for their compositions. A must-have!
