honing with Tormek compound
This compound really works great,but you need to put mineral oil on the leather first to help it absorb the honing compound. After a while you only use the oil from time to time.

Works Great When Used Correctly
As a rule Tormek is straight-up about what you should use to create a polished bevel or edge and this compound is not an exception to that rule. One review I read on the Tormek complained about getting the compound all over the place - and the key to avoiding that is the advice that a little goes a long ways. Their documentation (yes, it's worth reading) tells you to impregnate the wheel with light machine oil and then add a THREAD of compound. I learned what that means - and it's not the size of the trail that comes out of your toothpaste tube!

Another "Must Have" for the TORMEK
This compound works great on the leather honing wheel. It can also be used on the leather profiling wheel. It makes the machine do more with less time and less wear on the machine. It also extends the life of the leather wheel, and a little goes a long way. I've done a lot of sharpening, and I'm not through my first tube yet!

It's a "must have" for the TORMEK.
