Customer Reviews
Simple, reliable, indestructable
I spent a few years on a horse and cattle ranch with 35 miles of cast iron and galvinized pipe. All our pipe wrenches were Rigid made and I trusted all of them in some of the slipperiest, nastiest places on the ranch, often where a slip of the wrench would mean a broken bone. Caked in mud, manuer, grease or worse these wrenches were always easy to adjust and quick to bite. I'm guessing the same can be said of the aluminum models too. I just like the weight of iron.
3rd Generation Plumber - Ridgid Rocks.
I am a 3rd generation repair plumber and have over 25 years in the business. I can honestly say that Ridgid makes the best wrenches in the business. I have tried them all and none have the holding power and lifespan of Ridgid wrenches. They work and grip in all conditions all the time. I have found wrenches under houses covered in mud and rust, and with a little WD40 and a wire brush brought them back to life and used them the same day with no problems. My father has a 12 in. wrench that has been used for over 25 years, had the handle beaten almost flat, and been used 5+ days a week for those 25 years, and still keeps going. They cost a little more than most, but you only need to buy them once.
