Customer Reviews
Great surf music.
A great foray into the world of surfing sounds with a classic tune,
Wipe Out!Pounding drums and reverb drives the tunes and makes for a great
listening experience.
Surfaris Never Got the Credit They Deserved
I admit to being a big fan of the Surfaris. Unfortunately, we all know Surfer Joe and Wipe Out, but this CD contains two terrific albums, including great original instrumentals like Waikiki Run and Point Panic, and some terrific covers including Jack the Ripper and Apache. Ron Wilson's voice was a little thin, but Hot Rod High is a terrific song. In general, I think these are two great albums on one CD by a very underrated instrumental band. Looking for more to come, like Hit City '65 and the Surfaris '66, with great cover tunes.
