The lightest of the first three films, Lethal Weapon 3 finds everyone occupying comfortable positions like students who always choose to sit in the same classroom seats. Mel Gibson and Danny Glover return as LAPD partners whose working method consists of the former diving into danger and the latter holding back. (The sequence set in the parking garage of a building, in which Gibson inadvertently trips a switch that makes a timed explosive device speed up, is priceless.) Joe Pesci once again plays a motor-mouth pest, and while the story is pretty much forgettable, it does introduce the best new dynamic in the series, a romance between Gibson and Rene Russo's equally tough but attractive cop. --Tom Keogh

Killer Entry In The Series!
I thought I had seen this film and I watched it the other day realizing I definitely hadn't. This is a great film. The acting by Gibson and Glover is the best its been since Lethal Weapon One and Renee Russo kicks some serious butt in the film. Highly recommended if you're a fan of the series. Very action packed and poignant at times. Much better than Lethal 4. Certainly as good as the second one. Not better than the first one. Shane Black's writing in the first film is hard to top.
Mel Gibson + Danny Glover = Non Stop Entertainment!!!!
"You have the right to remain unconscious, anything you say ain't gonna be much". My favorite line from my favorite Lethal Weapon movie, said by the great Mel Gibson. Gibson and Glover have incredible chemistry, and part 3 of this series is definitely up to par and then some! I have all 4 of the movies on DVD, but I've watched this one more times than any of the rest. I remember going and watching it at the movies back in the summer of '92, hard to believe that it's been 10 years now since this movie's release. Richard Donner is truly a master at his craft, and continues to come up with great ideas for his movies. Joe Pesci is hilarious, he is in top form in this one. His addition to the fold made a great series of movies even better. The plot of the movie is basically centered around the boys trying to bring down a former cop named Jack Travis who's gone bad, really bad. Along the way is the usual sensational action, drama, and comedy that you've come to know, love, and expect from a Letal Weapon movie. I love it, and would recommend it to anyone who loves a great movie. This is my fav out of the 4, with the other 3 being a very close 2nd. If you are looking for the total package out of an action flick, then look no further. In my opinion this one is the best of the best. If you've never seen it, watch it. If you don't own it yet, what are you waiting for?!
Good movie, but not as good as the others.
Now don't get me wrong, this movie is deffinetly a good and entertaining movie to watch. It has good action and a lot of comedy, however it is probably the worst one in the series. Lethal Weapon 3 seemed to tone down the movie series quite a lot. It doesn't have the same dark and erie feel as the 1st two do. I know it's rated R but it seems more like a family "budy-cop" movie than the raw and gritty 1st two of the franchise. The ending isn't that great and Riggs seems to have lost almost all of his Special Forces training and fighting like you saw in the 1st two, ESPEICALLY at the end of the 1st one. If i had to rate tem I'd rate them
Lethal Weapon = 5 stars
Lethal Weapon 2 = 4.5 stars
Lethal Weapon 3 = 3.5 stars
Lethal Weapon 4 = 4 stars
It's deffinetly worth seeing and watching but my suggestion is watch this 1 first so that way when you see it you wont be as dissapointed.
