Product Description

Get beautiful group shots and sharp close-ups, with a high-performance 24-48mm autofocus zoom lens. Archive your special occasions with a date and time stamp on the back of your photo. Kodak Advantix C650 lets you do it automatically. Your pictures improve with processing because of advanced technology that gives your processor vital statistics about each shot.Advantix C650 zoom camera features triple format selection. In each format you can take three different size pictures - Classic (C), Group/HDTV (H), and Panoramic (P) - from the same film cassette. The viewfinder frame changes to match each format selection. You can choose to have date and time information printed on the back of your prints. You don't need to worry about accidentally re-exposing your film. Your camera reads the film status indicator (FSI) on the film cassette to prevent re-exposure. C650 features magnetic information exchange that records information about lighting conditions and exposure on the film cassette to assist the photofinishing lab with color correction and exposure adjustments, providing you with the best possible results. The safety interlock on the film door prevents the door from opening before the film is completely rewound.

Amazon.com Product Description
Kodak's C650 Advantix is an Advanced Photo System camera that offers point-and-shoot ease. This camera features a 24-48mm zoom lens that captures group and panoramic shots. Infrared autofocusing lets you take sharp photos from 2 feet and beyond, and the pop-up flash fires automatically in low-light situations. The flash also fires away from the lens, reducing red-eye.

The Kodak C650 records lighting and color data on the film's magnetic strip for the photo lab to use when developing, and every photo you take is labeled with the date and time. The viewfinder displays the selected picture size for simplified camera operation. The Kodak C650 automatically advances and rewinds film, and the safety interlock prevents the film door from opening until the roll is completely rewound. The self-timer lets you take self-portraits or include yourself in group photos. The kit includes a roll of Kodak Advantix color film, a battery, a coupon book, an instructional manual, and a detachable camera strap.

Kodak offers a one-year warranty on parts and labor for this camera.

Kodak C650--A real buy4
I recently lost my camera; to replace it, I purchased (Thru Amazon) a regular 35mm point & shoot camera of a well known make. It works fine, but when I was later looking thru Amazon's site I noticed the Kodak C650 with a factory rebate. I ordered one just to try out Kodak's APS film format; considering the price, I wan't expecting much of a camera. However, I am very much pleased with the camera. Film costs more; it costs more for processing, and you get exactly 24 exposures per 24 exposure roll (no extra exposures as with regular 35mm) but I think it's worth the extra. It takes a wide picture, so you don't have to back off a quarter mile to get a shot of your cruise ship; the downside of the 24mm lens is that the telephoto part won't get you very close, but I don't use telephoto very much anyway. To my untrained (and trifocal handicapped) eyes, the pictures look great. The C650 is smaller and lighter than a 35mm camera and putting in a new roll of film is a snap. The pop-up flash keeps you from getting your finger in front of the flash. The developed negatives are stored inside the original film canister for safekeeping. If you want a simple camera to replace your old Brownie and if you don't mind the additional cost of film and processing with the Advantix film (remember the advantages here!), this camera is a great deal.

Excellent camera, for an excellent price!5
I have recently recieved this Kodak C650 Advantix camera. It is really great! When you turn the camera on, the lens' comes out and the flash pops up. It is very simple to use. It has a decent 2x zoom (although you can find better zooms in this price range), it features a title imprinting, a date (or time) imprinting, a self timer, a pop up flash (to reduce red-eye), 3 print formats, and much more. Even when the camera is off, it shows the date and time on the LCD screen. I definitely recomment this camera.

Just as good the 2nd time.5
My wife received this camera as a graduation gift 5 years ago. After 5 years of amazing service it finally passed on. We enjoyed the picture quality and variety so much that we decided to buy the exact same camera. We are looking forward to another 5 years of great pictures from mediocre photographers.
