First step
I never bought jazz album because I prefer pop music, recently I was introduced by my myfriend jazz music and the first album I bought was this CD. It's nice and smooth, especially David Benoit with his Linus and Lucy plus exotic asia touch in Mr.Chow. Suddenly I fall in love with jazz and since then, I bought a lot of jazz album such as Michael Franks, Barry White, Al Jarreau. That's why I call this album is my first step in Jazz Music.
Smooth Jazz the Original Vol1
Since we do not have a Smooth Jazz Station in Tucson, any smooth jazz is good smooth jazz. I am one of those who do not like to hear people singing jazz. I just want instruments. 2 or 3 cuts have vocals. Also, I do not like to buy albums from just one artist of Smooth Jazz, not that they are not any good, it just is kind of monotonous. I want to hear a cut featuring guitar, then sax, then piano and maybe a little trumpet. That's why I like smooth jazz compliation CD's
