Album Description
"Songs From My Heart" is Esteban's lyrical and spontaneous interpretations of romantic popular songs that he has always felt close to. Each was recorded "live" in order to capture the feeling that so permeates Esteban's music. His "on the spot" improvisational skills learned from years of flamenco playing, combined with his exacting classical studies with Segovia, render a unique blend of heartfelt music that is pure joy to the ear. Enjoy!!

About the Artist
The classical/flamenco guitar is an extension of Esteban's inner self. When he plays, emotions and deep feeling burst from the guitar in waves of virtuosity. Esteban is one of the few guitarists in the world to carry the coveted endorsement of the legendary Andres Segovia of Spain. Esteban studied with the great maetro for five years.

Performers
Robert Brock, Piano Gary Gillespie, Bass Jesse McGuire, Trumpet Joe Morris, Drums

Customer Reviews

Esteban is just amazing5
About seven years ago I had the pleasure of seeing Esteban perform live in Arizona. And he caught my attention so much that all I could do is just stand there and listen. His mix of original songs and also his own remakes of songs are just incredible. I also got to meet him and he is such a great guy. If you want to hear the best Flamenco guitarist out there. BUY THIS CD!

The passion in this album comes from his heart5
This album allows the listener to feel what Esteban is feeling through these songs. Even though they are remakes, he does a remarkable job at giving them a spanish feel. This album is a favorite of mine and among all the songs "Never my Love" & "Greensleeves" are the best (great anniversary or wedding songs). His warm passion shows through each beat of the music. This album has proven to be a romantic, yet elegant album. A nice one for romantic cocktails or a light dinner with friends. And the best part of this album is that you know the songs that he is playing. Two words describe this album and the feel it gives it's listener...RELAXING & FABULOUS!

So Many Knockers - Esteban is Great!!5
As a guitar player for 50 years (I'm now 66) who also studied flamenco for a short time and can play some rather haltingly, I would commend Esteban's playing for what it is, way and above most guitar players, notwithstandng his car accident and all.

The negative comments that attempt to compare his playing to the few classical guitarists still capable of reaching the "classical level" are out of school and very imtemperate, as those musicians probably number less than 10, and they aren't popular with most listeners. Esteban is the epitome of an accomplished classical guitar musician who makes his music available to everyone for their listening pleasure, not for the winning of awards. He is like the Joe Pass or George Benson or Wes Montgomery of classical Spanish guitar.

I find his music and playing just plain delightful. Hats off to Esteban!!
