This is a bomb
Just received this really disappointing product. It never gives the same reading. A nightmare if you were measuring for carpet, etc. I never return products but this one is going back to Amazon.

Unreliable device
I have tried two of these units, just to make sure it was not a faulty unit. Sometimes the unit will perform perfectly. Other times, it gives an ERROR return no matter what you are measuring- short or long distance, indoors or out- even on the same exact place it gave a reading before. Even when the beam is held exactly still on a flat, hard surface, it often won't produce a reading.

Other times it gave readings that were completely wrong. I checked a known dimension of a sun room of 12' and got a 26' reading every time.

I was unable to get consistent readings off of any of the following:
* Rock
*Brick
*Glass
*Paper
*Aluminum
*Wood

I have not yet found a product that I do like. But this one was a loser. Perhaps it is fine for completely indoor applications with large, solid flat walls, but I don't need one for that.

It is a good friend of you when it help in taking measurement and eliminate the second person need to see the reading , really helpfull in inspection and field work .

Apart from that it will save your lot of time and really most imp thing it is easy to use.
