Customer Reviews

People SACD does not mean multichannel sound5
If an original recording does not have multichannel tracks to begin with, it is not always possible create the multichannel tracks out of thin air unless they do a lot of playing with the natural accoustics. Honestly, people need to realize that SACD essentially does improve the sound compared to redbook cd. This particular SACD is excellent. Willie's lyrics are clearer, cleaner, and more beautiful than they have ever been before.

Great SACD sound5
This disc besides its obvious popularity is a testament to the power of SACD. It will blow you away how real this disc sounds. Enjoy the music, and love the return on your considerable investment in all that gear. (The sound of this disc makes it worth while)

Shows us SACD's are awesome!!5
I originally owned the 20-bit remaster on regular CD. This SACD is amazing. You here things that you never knew were there on the CD format. This is a great SACD to exploit the power of SACD's, with the acoustics and vocals together it is superb. I tested it by comparing CD vs SACD using mainly "Georgia on my mind". Using a Yamaha RX-V1000 reciever and a Sony 900V player, connected with Monster 850i interconnects. I used Sony MDR-V500 headphones plugged into the reciever using direct processing (a switch to bypass all effects including treble and bass to give a superior studio sound). From the beginning you could here more of the guitar on the SACD and everything was more spatial and full. The harmonica was awesome. once again you could hear more of a range on it than you could on the CD. True to the representation of being more analog. If you like Willie, and have a SACD player, this is a must own!!
