Product Description

We always tell our children not to talk to strangers. And never, ever let them into the house. Too bad Howard didn't listen.

Debbie and Howard are celebrating their wedding anniversary. Or so Debbie thought. A special night together turns into a nightmare when Howard lets a man into the house to use the phone. Who is the smooth stranger who immediately takes to Debbie? And what does he really want? Debbie and Howard soon find out the answer to the question, and when they do, their lives will never be the same again. Be careful who you let into the house. Especially the Uninvited Guest.

Customer Reviews

Welcome the "Uninvited Guest" into Your Home3
Most straight to video film projects usually serve as dust magnets in video stores. However people are discovering "Uninvited Guest". This movie is generating positive buzz here in Washington and has the potential to become a cult classic. My actual rating is 3 1/2 stars, but that doesn't diminish my affinity for this thriller.

Mekhi Phifer as Silk is head and shoulders above the rest of the cast, although Mari Morrow as Debbie and William-Christopher Stephens as Trey turn in credible performances. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the rest of the cast whose portrayals are uneven at best, in some instances unbelievable and in Mel Jackson's case as Howard, downright excruciating. Be that as it may, the plot is extremely well conceived and the script offers some great twists and turns which ultimately make up for some of the acting deficiencies. Moreover, both Mari Morrow and Malinda Williams serve up the requisite sex appeal to keep male viewers interested. However, Kim Fields' cameo as the store owner only made me wish that she was occupying Williams' role.

Despite my pointed criticisms, I was thoroughly entertained and I have been recommending it to all of my friends since. If you like this movie, I would also suggest that during your next trip to the video store pick up "Trois", another film with an African-American ensemble cast. It's great to see Black Hollywood exhibiting so much talent and creativity that are providing some truly exciting entertainment alternatives.

The Movie was Very Very Good5
I do not know why Someone is downing the movie for interracial scence there was not a white actress in the movie. Mari Morrow is Black and Italian and she is considered a Black Actress. She was in How to be a Player and a lot of other Black Films. I thought this film was very good. The Plot could have been better but the ending was unexpected to me. The cast was strong.

Quite surprised 4
I rented this movie because it seemed interesting and I was surprised it was very good. I didnt know it had received so many negative reviews. My advice would be to see it for yourself
