Great music and group
This is a high-energy group of enthusiastic musicians performing all the great Vivaldi chamber music on period instruments. If you're not already a fan of Il Giardino Armonico, after hearing their La Follia you will be. Thanks to Sky for his review, which told me what the catalog description did not: four CDs , 3.4 hours.
First rate!
These, to my mind, are easily the best chamber renditions of these pieces on the market. The energy and inventiveness Il Giardino Armonico bring to the works on these four discs is unbelievable. Now it's my turn to thank RMlind, whose review made clear what a bargain this 4-CD set is.
A must have
"Giardino Armonico" is one of the best ensemble I've ever heard. "La follia" concert is truly touching. I'm really happy of these cds.
