Customer Reviews
Classical Dixieland
The songs on this CD are classical Dixieland selections.
Each selection is 2-3 min., much shorter than Pete and his band play in concert.
South Rampart Street Parade is broken up with drum interludes.
Otherwise this is a great CD.
Pete Fountain's Best of Dixieland
I purchased Pete Fountain Presents the Best of Dixieland for a Mardi Gras party my wife and I were hosting. The CD was actually my second choice after a CD with Mardi Gras parade music was out of stock. However, I was well pleased with the CD and actually think it makes for better listening than the parade music would have. If you are looking for some lively Dixieland jazz music to play in the background, you may want this CD. The only reason I am not rating the CD with 5 stars is that there is one song, the last one, which is really cornball. Given that there are 20 songs in all, and the other 19 are really good, I suppose it might deserve 5 stars after all.
Tne Best of Dixieland Pete Fountain
Had a Pete Fountain record many years ago, when looking for Statler Brothers & Oak Ridge Boys..decided that I needed a Dixieland CD and I looked for Pete Fountain and decided on this one, because it was Pete Fountain doing Pete Fountain..not other performers music..Much pleased with it,
