Editorial Reviews
Four Seasons Resort Aviara, Beth Stenning, Spa Director
"Real Music is the only source that consistently provides Four Seasons Resort Aviara with music of superior spa quality".
Kathy Parson, Solo Piano Publications, January 2002
"A wonderful collection, and I highly recommend it for music to unwind to or simply to pamper yourself a little".
From the Artist
Glowing health is our natural state. Despite all the stress and drama in our daily lives, our bodies naturally seek to heal. Our ancestors understood that the healing of body, mind and spirit could be facilitated through healing environments and rituals including dance, temples of healing waters, toning, drumming, sweat lodges, meditation, massage and music. In modern times, we have come to associate healing with recovery from illness or injury. However, many people are realizing that even with vibrant health, we can still "heal" our mental, emotional and spiritual selves, in turn complementing and strengthening our physical presence.
Each of us needs sacred time and space in our busy lives. Let this music be the friend that takes you there.
Customer Reviews
from Solo Piano Publications
As I've said before, the folks at Real Music do an especially good job of putting compilations together. The Sacred Spa Music Series Boxed Set consists of three CDs which are also available individually, and which are made up of the most soothing and relaxing tracks from previously released albums. The titles of the individual CDs are "Letting the World Go By", "Wrapped in Stillness", and "Quiet Days".The collection is designed to promote and enhance the healing of "our mental, emotional, and spiritual selves". The pace is leisurely, and the sounds wash over the listener like a cozy blanket or the warmth of the springtime sun. Featured artists include 2002, Kevin Kern, Paul Machlis, Bernard L'Hoir, Danny Wright, the late Hilary Stagg, Govi, Michael Hoppe, and Tim Wheater. While calming and quiet, most of the pieces have enough sparkle to keep the albums very interesting in the foreground as well as creating a lovely backdrop for other activities or simply unwinding. Piano, harp, flute, and keyboards make up most of the instrumentation. This a wonderful collection, and I highly recommend it for music to unwind to or simply to pamper yourself a little.
Not the best spa music out there...
I was given this series at the last ISPA convention for my Buddha Spa. We tested thesse for a week in our spa and had to pull it from our playlist. The music is too dated and sounds like it was made in the 90s. For the syle of music on here...general piano, some light guitar, lots of classical strings and synthesizer...there is so much better options nowadays. Very disappointing. Luckily I didnt pay for it!
