Editorial Reviews

From the Back Cover
Patrick (Jay O. Sanders, TV's "Salem Witch Trials", "Angels in the Outfield") and Elizabeth Welsh ("Margaret Colin, "The Devil's Own", "Independence Day") are former high school sweethearts who are living an idyllic life as happy parents of two young boys. This storybook tale soon turns from the perfect love story to a harrowing mystery. Patrick is a loving husband and father who leads a comfortable life amoung his country club friends, but beneath is a criminal who betrays trusts and steals dreams without conscience.
When finally exposed for using university funds for his own purpose, Patrick's guilt and embarrassment leads him to an apparent suicide. His body is never recovered. Elizabeth not only has the trauma of losing her beloved husband, but she is left virtually penniless. Despite her struggles, Elizabeth eventually becomes a successful leader within her community. Just as time has nearly erased most of her deep emotional scars, she begins to unravel the true mystery of her husband's disappearance.
As she tries to track down events that led to her husband's disappearance, Elizabeth is unsure of what she will find. A part of her needs to know the truth, while another part knows that opening this chapter will dredge up painful memories and angry feelings. She knows that she must do what is right for herself, her family and others that were betrayed.Based on a true story.

BASED ON A TRUE STORY!!!!5
I just found out that the husband who pretended to commit suicide in this movie..and then moved to a new city to start a new family actually lives in my city! The real woman who this is movie is based on was just interviewed on 48 hours. Although the news story I saw was only a short segment..this was a full-length movie on this lady's life and....WOW...what she had to go through! This is a great movie if you feel like becoming totally involved in a really enjoyable drama.

Also shown on Lifetime5
This film was also shown on Lifetime Television as The Familiar Stranger.

Great Lifetime Film.5
I just bought this movie and it is exellent!! I like most of all Lifetime movies but I have never seen this one on television but it is really one of the very best movies on Lifetime. It should be shown more often and you will not get bored at all with this film. Highly recommended drama!
