Customer Reviews

Beautiful and exotic5
I'll be the first to admit that I'm not extremely knowledgeable about classical music; I just know what I enjoy listening to and this is one of my favorites when I'm the mood for something a little bit "exotic" sounding. A lot of the composers are Russian and the music has the flavor of the East. "In the Steppes of Central Asia" is particularly lovely.

great5
Bought only for "Dance of the Persian salves" I have otherwise not known of the others, but I am quite fond of more than half on there. number 6 "Gayaneh - Sabre Dance" brings me to tears with laughter having been used in some many comedic scenes.

Silk Road MUSIC5
This Silk Road album has NOTHING to do with Yo Yo Ma and his Silk Road Ensemble. These pieces are exotic treasures of Boradin & Tyschkowky (sp) and are lovely and relaxing to listen to. I love Yo Yo Ma also, but these selections are not played by or written by him. This is a treasure to own.
