• Play with the alignment of your subjects. Strict centering of your subject p roduces an analytical, bold pattern; cutting your subjects in half on the sides of the frame produces inspiring connected patterns between each individual frame . Search for every possibility.
• Get close to your subjects, especially when using a flash. Large, detailed s ubjects that fill the frame make for dazzling results.
• Bold, unique, crazy colors add to the impact of a Pop 9 photo, repeating in joyous and exceptional patterns. On the other hand, stark, minimal colors can be very striking as well.

It really works
I just opened my new Pop 9 and was a bit surprised. It's made of cheap gold plastic- REALLY cheap. The "lens cap" has a tiny plastic handle to pry it off- it's already almost broken off. The film is a little tricky to engage too. However, I just got back my first set of prints, and they're great! Not a blurry shot in the bunch, no matter how close up I took the photo. The view finder is off-kilter, but after one roll you can pretty much see how to adapt. I love it! Fun fun fun. I can't wait to take more shots. There are so many possibilities with this camera!

Instant Warhol
This low-frills camera delivers arty photos at the press of a button. No need to focus. Just turn on the flash and shoot away. Keep in mind that what you see through the viewfinder is a smaller portion of the image you are capturing.

I have not been disappointed with this fun camera. Not for serious photos or photogs, it nevertheless provides fun and fun pictures. Be sure to warn the developer that your plain 35mm film has been run through a 9 lens camera. I haven't had the slightest trouble in devloping from the corner drug store, just so long as I let them know what they're getting.

Finally a Lomo with a flash!
The Pop 9 takes nine shots on one image and puts them onto one frame of film--as if someone drew a tic-tac-toe board on your picture and put a little photo into each slot.

Unlike Lomo's other two "multishot" cameras, the Supersampler or Action Sampler, which take photos at a fraction of a second apart, the Pop 9 takes all nine photos at once--so there isn't any "action" motion.

However, the flash let's you use it indoors.

As soon as my friends see it, they keep stealing it to snap pictures, so have lots of film handy if you bring it to party.
