'Cherrystone's Rocks' (Lo Recordings) Various Artists
Nicely assembled fifteen track collection of some REALLY lesser known psychedelic bands. Out of the 15 artists here,the only two that I've even remotely heard of were Rita Lee (Os Mutante's female vovalist) and Frijid Pink. A good most of these cuts are quite good,actually. Some of the bands here that I've never, EVER heard of include Pugh, Great Bear, Klaus Doldinger and Sunbirds. I bet I know what most of you are thinking - who the heck are these bands? Trust me. If you you like virtually unheard-of psych, garage or even obscure blues ( there are one or two tunes here of such ), then you should get at least as much out of 'Cherrystone's Rocks' as I did. A should-have.
