Editorial Reviews
Album Description
This incredible collection features the legendary Dire Straights front man guitarist Mark Knopfler on the first song. This piece was written for the soundtrack for the film "Local Hero". The theme for the film "The Last of the Mohicans (The Gael)" and other classics round out this most enjoyable collection from the LEGENDARY Royal Scots Dragoon Guards.

Family CD
This CD has a wonderful mix of traditional and modern pipes and drum music. Everyone who hears it has their own favourite track, whatever their age. The musicians have proved the versatility of their talents.
An Surprising Departure for a Military Band!
If you're like me, you're used to seeing CDs from Scottish Regiments that are all pretty similar. They have the regimental badge and a picture of the band on the cover, maybe with a picture of the pipe major or drum major in feather bonnet. This CD is a major departure from that standard. The cover is the first clue, it has an image of parallel tracks with a shadow of a guitar on it! No more "pipes and drums and regimental band" stuff. The Royal Scots Dragoons truly show off their musicanship, and bring along a talented corps of outsiders to help them. The opening track of "Going Home" is accompanied by Mark Knofler of Dire Straits!
Music CD
We first heard this CD Parallel Tracks at my parents house and fell in love with the sound! My father played bagpipes for 30 years and it brought back so many happy memories, great modern sound!!
