Customer Reviews
guitar album
I bought this for my employer who is a professional classical guitarist. I have not personally heard the album but he told me he enjoyed listening to it and hearing some different arrangements not heard before.
It would be nice to know what you're getting
Well, I can't review this disc because I've never heard it.
What I'm trying to do is correct Amazon's error-ridden contents list, using that on Amazon UK (itself not without its errors and omissions) and a bit of intelligent guesswork. This is what I've come up with so far:
Disc: 1
01. Air From Orchestral Suite No.3 in D Major, BWV 1068 (Bach) - Göran Söllscher
02-04. Concierto de Aranjuez (Rodrigo) - Pepe Romero
05. Prelude from 'Cello Suite Nº 1, BWV 1007 (Bach) - Andrés Segovia
06. Gavotte I & II From 'Cello Suite Nº 6, BWV 1012 (Bach) - Andrés Segovia
07. My Lady Hunsdon's Puffe, P. 54 (Dowland) - Göran Söllscher
08. A Piece Without Title (Dowland) - Göran Söllscher
09. The Shoemaker's Wife, P. 58 (Dowland) - Göran Söllscher
10. Sonata in E Major, K.380 (Scarlatti) - Alexandre Lagoya
11. Prelude For Lute, BWV 999 (Bach) - Andrés Segovia
12. Two Minuets (?) - Göran Söllscher
13. Variations on a Theme by Mozart, Op.9 (Sor) - John Williams
14. Melody (Melodie) (?) - Pepe Romero
15. The Happy Farmer (Schumann) - Pepe Romero
16. Soldiers March (Schumann) - Pepe Romero
17. Waltz, Op. 39, Nº 15 (?) - Pepe Romero
18-20 Concerto in D Minor (Marcello) - Alexandre Lagoya
Disc: 2
01. Romance (Anon) - Narciso Yepes
02-04. Concierto de Aranjuez (Rodrigo) - Pepe Romero
05. Minuetto from Sonata for Guitar in C, Op. 22 - Julian Bream
06. Preludio in E major (Moreno Torroba) - Julian Bream
07. Fiesta en Jerez - Pepe Romero
08. Sevillanas - Paco Peña
09. Habanera from Carmen (Bizet) - Alexandre Lagoya
10. Aria from Bachianas Brasilerias Nº 5 (Villa-Lobos) - Alexandre Lagoya
11. Sicilienne (?) - Steve Erquiaga
12. Mass in B minor (Qui Tollis) (Bach?) - Dominic Miller
13. Here, There, & Everywhere (Lennon/McCartney) - Göran Söllscher
14. The Long & Winding Road (Lennon/McCartney) - Göran Söllscher
15. Yesterday (Lennon/McCartney) - Göran Söllscher
The Sicilienne might be by Bach, but then it might be by Fauré, or a lot of other people. The rating is an educated guess, too.
Hope this helps.
