MYSTERY COLLECTION is a nicely packaged four DVD box set. The movies offered are all public domain titles curently in wide circulation.
SYNOPSES:
"The Bat" - A crazed killer known as 'The Bat' is on the loose in a mansion full of people. Has grown up 'Little Rascal' Darla Hood in a supporting role.
"The Black Raven" - Typical 'B' grader about a group of strangers, a creepy old house, two murders and $50,000 in cash.
"Mr. Moto's Last Warning" - Germanic Lorre portrays an oriental detective once again, in a story of spies plotting to sink French ships. In a minor role is Robert Coote, who would one day appear on Broadway in MY FAIR LADY, as Pickering.
"Nancy Drew... Reporter" - Designed for the younger folks. Teen Nancy Drew clears a girl of murder charges. Actress-turned-columnist Hedda Hopper's son William has a small part here. He would one day co-star on TV's PERRY MASON, as detective Paul Drake. Dickie Jones (a former 'Our Gang' member) later appeared in two TV westerns.
MYSTERY CLASSICS 50 MOVIE PACK COLLECTION is a fine box set of quite similar films.
