Customer Reviews
Great for MORE than Sony cameras!
Hi: Just want to confirm that I get similar performance to the other reviewer: easily get 40-50 shots on a fresh charge. And I take all my photos at 5 Megapixels with my DSC-P92 (purchased Oct 2003).
I purchased the Sony "starter kit" which includes a quick charger that holds 4 batteries. Put the (dead) batteries in - a light goes on. When they're charged - the light goes off. Simple. I purchased a few sets for me and my Sony camera, PLUS a few more sets to use in the kids' toys! Very handy. I'm now placing an order for the AAA batteries to use in my book lite. (The AAA size can also charge in the quick charger that came with the "starter kit".) It feels good to not be throwing so many batteries in the trash.
Side note: when I originally tried to place an order for the batteries from the SONY site - they charge shipping PER ITEM. So when I ordered 3 sets of batteries - I forget how much they charged per item - but for example, if it was $5, then the charge for 3 sets of batteries was 3 x $5 for a total of $15 just for shipping. So at Amazon, w/ Amazon's free shipping with a $25 order - it's a great deal.
Very good batteries
These are the OEM batteries for the Sony Cybershot series. I own a set of the originals that came with the camera. These are not very easy to get at retail stores so you should definitively take advantage to the fact that Amazon.com carries them. I own a DSC-P92 and I can take from 40 to 50 pictures on the same set of batteries (you may be able to get more if you are not using flash, or less if you use the flash for every single picture). The convenience of buying and extra set of OEM is that you can charge them with the same charger included with your camera (only one charger to carry on the trips). There are a lot of rechargeable batteries out there, and the great majority of them are less quality than the Sony. For the price at which these are offered you should definitely treat your camera (and yourself) and buy an extra original Sony set. No reason to risk your camera with the other brands and carry two chargers around.
Little die-hards
I had bought two sets of these for my camera. Easy to charge, last a very very long time. Can't think of a single thing wrong with them and will gladly buy more when I need them.
