Metal detectors, pottery wheels, itching powder, and magic carpets all have a go in Kipper Playtime. Joined by his usual band of tail-wagging buddies, Kipper the dog chats and chuckles his way through seven amusing cartoons, each about 8 minutes long. Whether searching the playground for buried treasure, entertaining little Arnold at home, or discovering that Pig has mistaken wet clay pots for fresh-baked cookies, Kipper always displays patience, kindness, and charm along with a keen wit. His innocent ways and lilting British accent suggest a strong Winnie the Pooh influence; but a playful streak shines through Kipper's polite, quiet demeanor. This pup is no pushover, as jokester Jake discovers when Kipper orchestrates a rather wet act of revenge in "Jake's Joke Box"--albeit a subtle, well-mannered revenge. Nothing offensive, loud, or sarcastic muddies this collection of puppy tales, earning it a two-paws-up rating for preschoolers and their parents. --Liane Thomas

New Episodes- NO repeats, as always a FAVORITE
This Kipper video features 7 episodes and runs for 1 hour.
For newcomers, this cartoon is simply and beautifully illustrated, moves at a leisurely pace, and teaches life lessons without being preachy.
The episodes included are as follows:
The treasure hunt- Tiger brings over a metal detector but gets frustrated when he finds nothing but junk with it. Kipper helps out by burying his piggy bank for Tiger to find.
Looking after Arnold- Kipper babysits little Arnold one afternoon, and exhausts himself (I'm sure parents of toddlers can relate to that one).
Tiger's Joke Box- Tiger plays practical jokes on everyone, and ends up being the butt of a joke himself
Pig's Sweater- really funny, Pig insists on wearing his new sweater, even if it's sweltering outside.
Clay Time- the whole gang has fun with a potter's wheel.
The Magic Carpet- Kipper takes a trip to the moon and meets friendly aliens. (Your child may ask for a magic carpet after this one).
Kipper the Hero- Kipper helps rescue a kitten caught in a tree.
My almost 4 year old will watch nothing but Kipper. I actually find myself laughing along with the characters when I watch with him.
Spend A Little Time With Kipper
Kipper is a mischievous puppy with a British accent who spends his time finding adventures with pals Arnold, Tiger, Pig, and Zebra. The series is based on the best selling books by Mike Inkpen. The stories are fun and easy to follow, foster ceative thinking, and reinforce messages such as cooperation, courtesy and kindness. And in regular language? Kipper is the perfect my-child-needs-to-unwind-and-it's-witching-hour-but-gotta-get-dinner-on-the-table video. It's completely non-grating, which may be important to those adults out there that are "Wiggled" or "Tuttered" out (for those familiar with the hyperactive puppet in "Bear In The Big Blue House"). Simply put, it's a good show and does not promote ADHD: more likely, it's even an antidote.
Great video!!!
My son received this video for his second birthday and it's the only thing he'll watch! He could care less about anything on TV except this video. I'm a little sick of it, but I guess that's OK since he loves it so much. My 6-month old thinks it's pretty neat too!
