HEARTFELT
I've come to appreciate Jorge Negrete, the great Mexican vocalist who died in 1953. He was part of a great generation of singers, e.g. Pedro Infante, etc. This collection of songs is great, even if you don't know much Spanish. I bought it in part because I'm learning Spanish. There are a number of fine songs on the CD; made so with the help of his mariachis, whom you just gotta love. My favorites are "El Corrido de Jorge Torres" and "El Sueño". These songs "make it" in any era.
Oh that Mexico had such talent today!
