Customer Reviews

Can this even be called a case?2
I was on a look-out for a case for my Casio Exilim EX-Z40. This was one of the cases that I considered. I managed to find one in a local store. Can this even be called a case? The best way I can describe it is "an oversized clip made to clip around your camera and to your belt". It is two pieces of cardboard or plastic wrapped in cloth, held together by rubberized bands. I would not trust my camera to stay in it, it also includes a spare cardboard/plastic piece, which you can stick into it with your camera, my guess is to thicken it up, and make it harder for the camera to fall out. The top of the camera is always exposed.

Overall, I would not recommend, unless this is up your alley.

I did find a case, it is made by Digital Concepts. I don't think Amazon carries it yet. Its full name is "Digital Hard Shell Camera Bag". It was about fiveteen dollars at the local Ritz camera store. It is zipper all around, belt loop, and about as small as it gets for this camera. If you can, try it before you buy it, it is a really snug fit, if you need to carry a battery or any other accesory besides an extra memory card, it will not fit in that case.

Don't buy this1
DO NOT BUY THIS. I bought this case without reading any reviews and found out the hard way that this case is not practical to protect 300$ camera.

1. No cover to keep the camera secure (You don't want to loose your 300$ camera with a 15$case.

2. This case doesn't cover the camera all the way this causes one side of the camera exposed to rain etc.. and if you drop it you can damage the camera.

3. Belt clip is open on one side for easy clipping which can make the clip to easily fall of as well

Bottom line "Don't buy this"

Don't get this case1
I thought it was a good idea to get a case that can clip onto my belt, but the case kept falling off. One time I actually found my camera on the ground with the case still clipped to my belt. If you want to lose your camera and/or the case, then get it. My case is now floating in a lake somewhere. Luckily, I moved the camera to my shirt pocket before the case fell off.
