Customer Reviews
It's the right time for some reggae.
This is a three CD collection of Jamaican Christmas music from the vaults of Trojan Records. Songs date from 1960 up to the turn of the century. Most of the songs are reggae, of course, but other Jamaican music styles like ska and rocksteady are also represented. Most of these songs are very hard to find in the States, being from long out of print records, some of which were never released in America at all. Almost all of these songs are good. I particularly like the multiple songs by Yellowman, John Holt and the Tamlins. The CDs are all over an hour long, so this collection is a real bargain at the price it is being sold for.
Making a Snowman in Kingston Town
Is your heart feeling like a chunk of coal beating in your chest? Spin this the Christmas classic and warm ya soul up by the FYAH! My favorite track is Johnny Clarke's "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa". A big big plus-this 3 disc set includes all of Jacob Miller's Natty Chistmas record from 78'. That ain't no Scrooge.
