The components on the module include sixteen 64M x 8-bit (16M x 8-bit x 4 Bank) DDR333 SDRAM in TSOP packages. This 200-pin SODIMM uses gold contact fingers and requires +2.5V. The product is shipped in retail packaging and includes installation instructions.

Very Much Worth It
My Dell Inspiron 8600 running Windows XP with 512 MB RAM worked well up until a year or so ago. The amount of memory needed to run the system gradually creeped beyond 512MB and the system spent much time paging and thrashing, with very slow response for even trivial actions. I finally bought a single 1 GB sodimm to replace one of the 256 MB modules. Now it has ~1.25 GB of RAM and doesn't need to page any more, and is very responsive.

Easy to install if you've done this kind of thing before. The included instructions are minimal, but no doubt you can google to find detailed directions on replacing memory, or consult the PC manufacturer's doc.

Well worth the cost and trouble.

Received 512Mb memory, beware!
I have received twice a 512Mb memory instead of the 1Gb memory that is advertised, be carefull.

I have received two 512Mb sticks instead of 1 Gb stick.
Buyers be warned you may receive something that you don't ask for
My laptop only have 2 slots and I ordered 2 of this items so I received 4 512Mb sticks, this is useless to me.
I ordered directly from Amazon, other stores may ship the right item.
