I disagree
After reading the reviews above I decided to chime in with my two cents. Although I agree Joe Public may find this movie a bit dry and at times unrealistic I must say that this is an unfair assesment and that the film has it's audience. Currently I am working on my masters in Psychology and I must say that the depiction of an individual who is seriously considering suicide is far more accurate than most films today. Despite popular opinion, those who attempt suicide are rarely brudding goths who always see the more morbid side of things and listen to Metallica. They are generally normal people who just feel tired and lost, something that Paul Rudd brings across in spades. Although they seldom film their deaths, most suicide attempties do discuss killing themselves and are often aware of how "indulgent" it may seem to others, a point discussed in the film. Thus it is unfair to say that this movie is bad based on a half founded belief that the content is unrealistic.

Not so interesting Mocumentary...
I rented "2 Days" because the premise sounded intriguing enough: An actor who decides to kill himself in 2 days has a film crew follow him around up until the very end. Maybe if this had been a documentary on a real person's life it could have worked. But I found this movie to be very unreal and unsatisfying. Don't get me wrong, Paul Rudd is a good actor and quite sexy I might add, but I could barely keep myself awake to watch the movie in it's entirety. It wasn't a horrible movie, but I can understand why it went straight to video. When killing yourself in two days starts looking more appealing than continuing to watch this movie... well, I'd say it's failed as good entertainment.

Excellent
Given how poorly it's been received by reviewers on amazon, this must be a film you either get or don't get, with no subtle in-betweens. This film really connected with me. Paul Rudd is brilliant in it. The whole scenario is a really fascinating take on suicide, and the dialogue is well written and realistic.
