The return of 80's hair metal5
This is a good Ep. The song Roadstar is really catchy, and will get stuck in your head real easy, I think it will probably be a hit. People are saying these guys sound like aerosmith and stuff though, which is not true. They sound more like Whitesnake or Bon Jovi. It is a good ep and you should buy it if you like 80's hair metal or any true rock for that matter. This is a good revival band and if you like this make sure to listen to the greatest revival band out right now, the great SILVERTIDE!!!
down below is a list of all the bands true rock fans should check out. New bands here to save the scene.
The Darkness
Jet
Hurricane Party
Parchman Farm (Only have an ep out but it rocks and you can find it here on amazon.)
Rose Hill Drive ( have an ep out but not on amazon. They toured with Van Halen and completly rock and the guitarist is incredible.)
Supagroup
Tokyo Dragons
Young Heart Attack
Black keys
and the best new band Silvertide

The real deal... pure and simple.5
Seems Hurricane Party are beginning to attract attention from all quarters at the moment. As they begin to make the transition from "unknown" wannabes to "genuine" rock stars, it's inevitable that there are going to be those who claim they are pale imitations of the legends that have gone before them.

Well, anyone into classic sounding rock, who are lucky enough to hear this EP or see the band perform live, will quickly discover that actually Hurricane Party are indeed for real. No melodies? Err, sorry, but what the hell were you listening to (maybe you should actually turn the volume up, as it does help you know)? Melodies, catchy riffs, solid songs (particularly "Roadstar" and the awesome "Last Survivor), the Get This EP has it all.

At last, a band has arrived who want everyone to just have a fantastic time when they see them perform. Nothing too deep, no songs about how terrible the world is, or contemplating suicide, this is all about letting go and enjoying yourself "Party style". They've nothing to hide and what you see is quite simply what you get - ie, a bonafide rock band who really will blow you away.

Whether you like it or not, 2005 is gonna be the year of Hurricane Party, so you'd better get used to hearing their name!

Proud5
I first saw this band live at the end of last year supporting Nickelback, & I was blown away - excuse the pun. Completely not what I was expecting, but the band have a certain vibe about them that is hard to pinpoint. That night and the other 10 (roughly) (!) times I have seen them since, I cannot get the smile off my face. I can see why people assume they are following in the footsteps of the Darkness, I can see why people say they are nothing new, but as the saying goes "If it aint wrong, don't fix it". Hurricane Party are a tight unit, you cannot fault their playing, Richie has an astounding voice and they should be proud of what they are doing. If I had one criticism, I would say tht the EP doesn't quite encapsulate what they are like live, but someone would have to invent something pretty special to record the vibe that they project. If you get a chance to see them live, then go, you won't be dissapointed, as for the waiting time inbetween, this EP will keep you going!
