Shame on you Amazon1
So Amazon, you can buy the complete Alias season 1-3 set for $169 or each individual season for $52.49. Hmmm so how does the "Amazon Exclusive Alias 1-3" set save me money? ($52.49 x 3 = $157.47). C'mon Amazon it was bad enough when you started offering to let us buy an additional book with the one we wanted and still charge us full price for each book, all the while trying to make it look like you were saving us money, but now you are asking for more money to ship 3 DVD sets together than you would to ship each set individually? Maybe you should teach your pricing people how to do basic math.

Pleasing Little Addiction5
When Sydney reveals to her fiancee that she really works for a covert branch of the CIA, her life changes for ever. After Danny is killed, she learns that SD-6 is not a covert branch of the CIA, but an arm of an organized crime syndicate. Now she must team up with the real CIA to take them down and get the revenge she wants.

Of course, that's just the beginning. There are family secrets, an unavoidable attraction to her CIA handler, lies to her friends, and more missions then anyone should be able to handle.

I got hooked with the first season of this show, and haven't been able to stop watching since. Granted, I think the show lost something part way through season 2 it still hasn't recaptured, but it's highly addiction fun.

Realistic? Not on your life! I'll be the first to admit its flaws. But I'm watching to be entertained, and this show does that in spades. With multiple plot lines and character interactions each episode, you need to watch it more then once to remember all that happened.

The first season was the best, with top notch suspense, great cliffhangers, and well juggled multiple plot lines. My disappointment with the first half of season 2 was the lack of great cliffhangers. The second half began to loose its way, but it was still great. Season 3 was uneven and dark. While my least favorite, it's still good entertainment.

Of course, the series is helped along by fine writing and acting. The cast has been up for awards numerous times, all well deserved. And the costumes, gadgets, and missions and fun all by themselves.

These discs are great for collectors. Shown in wide screen and full surround, they're better then broadcast. Each set includes audio commentaries, documentaries, and other fun extras that help you go behind the scenes. Honestly, I had obsessively taped every episode, but quit this year when I realized I didn't need to because of the DVD's.

WARNING: Do not start this series if you don't have time to watch it all. It will suck you in and not let you get anything else done. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to catch Sydney's latest adventure.

One of the best!5
What can I say - this is still one of the best shows on TV. Before "Lost" and "Desperate Housewives", ABC had this little Gem that they didn't know what to do with. A fantastic cross between James Bond and The DaVinci Code, Alias crosses the line between could happen and unrealistic in a way that is not only enjoyable, but addictive. Out of the three seasons, Season 2, with its family of disfunctional spys, is the best, while season 3 is the most uneven. However, all 3 seasons are worth watching over and over again, and thankfully, if Jennifer Garner decides to pursue a movie career, we'll still be able to enjoy this classic show.
