Family Fun Magazine and Parenting magazine give tops reviews
I guess I have to do this in Kids review section. My connection wont let me under regular. My name is Lisa and am the mom of 3 kids. I love this game and saw it reviewed in Family Fun magazine as their top software pick. The cut scenes in this game are hilarious. I think that these magazines are right on the money with how well this game is made. My husband and son play this game all the time and have a great time. Anyone looking for more info on this game may want to check out the Dec/Jan issue of Family Fun magazine. This gives an accurate picture of how well done this game is. As a mom, this game encourages me that it is not some shoot em up game!
Tak 2: The Staff of Dreams......
One of the things I hoped they do if they ever made a sequel to Tak and the Power of Juju was to push the envelope and give us something new. While Tak 2: The Staff of Dreams hasn't really pushed the envelope in terms of gameplay, per se; it did give us something new(a new adventure, new characters, new linear environments, new potion mixing abilities, and wild new Juju and animal morphing powers). This time, Tak is out to recover the Nightmare Scepter and defeat Tlaloc once and for all. Once again, the game has stellar production values- is absolutely gorgeous, vibrant and colorful, graphically- voice-acting is top-notch-and cut-scenes are well-done and played out. Out of all the platformers being released this season; this is one that I've really been looking forward to. This time around, though,it's not your 'average' platformer anymore. It's pretty much on par with the big boys. I loved it. At times, the game really makes you use your mind to figure out how to go about a given task. The thing I loved most about it is it still has that sense of humor that was in the first one(Lok and Jibolba just crack me up sometimes).
All in all, Tak 2: The Staff of Dreams rocks! Now, bring on a third game...THQ. You've got something good going on here.
We Love IT!!!!!!!!!!!
Tak 2 is a really fun game. I have a six year old daughter who loves to play it with her dad. They sit downstairs and play it for hours. As a mom, I love this game because it holds their attention and isn't a blow some person up for the fun of it game. The graphics in this game are better than any I have seen. We have tak 1 as well and this game is even better. The dream worlds in this are great. You can travel through Tak's dreams and nightmares. This game is great for all ages and keep's my husband very entertained. The humor in this is great as well.
