Very good if you're into the history of hawaiian music, not so if you just want fun hawaiian music to listen to

Like A Vacation That Was Good, Not Great
This compilation makes for nice background music to a low key summer cocktail party. It's nice and has it's moment, but no one will remember what you played and it won't help propel your party into greatness. That said, I put it on when the kids are doing homework or I'm working with a new recipe or some such nonsense. It fills in the room without occupying my thoughts.

50 greatest hawai'i albums of all time
this cd has a wonderful assortment of artists.
highly recommended for anyone doing research. we look
forward to listening to the next two volumes.
