From the Manufacturer
Nikon has updated its popular zoom binocular, the 8-24x25 Eagleview. This sleek, compact adventure binocular was designed to become a favored companion of knowledgeable travelers--whether theyÕre heading to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, the beaches of the French Riviera or the wilds of the Peruvian Amazon. It's available in either black or silver.

The 2005 Nikon 8-24x25 Eagleview Zoom model includes new ergonomic styling to allow a better, more comfortable grip on the dual-hinge polycarbonate body. Nikon has retained all of the user-friendly features that have made the Eagleview one of the most popular and versatile zoom binoculars on the planet:

  • Turn and slide rubber eyecups allow the user to quickly achieve the eye relief necessary for optimum viewing, with or without eyeglasses.
  • An exclusive, centrally located zoom control lever that enables the user to select any magnification from 8 power to 24 power with the push of a finger.
  • Bright, sharp Nikon multicoated lenses and high index BaK4 prisms provide true color rendition and crisp, clear viewing.
Measuring just 4.7 x 4.3 inches and weighing only 12.5 ounces, the Eagleview Zoom is sized to fit in a coat pocket, purse or glove box. The binocular provides a 240 foot field of view at 1,000 yards when set on eight power, and possesses a 4.6 degree field of view at 8x, as well.

Like all Nikon Binoculars, the Eagleview Zoom is covered by Nikon's 25-year limited warranty and No-Fault Repair/Replacement Policy.

A very good choice.5
I have bought a couple of binoculars in the past. Always thinking the higher magnification was better. That's not always true as keeping the object steady at 10 and higher with your hands is tough. The higher mags also suck up light making the image darker. Now I have an Eagleview Zoom and don't worry which model I should have chosen. For the most part it stays at 8 but when I really need to get close the zoom is great. The turn and slide eyecups are a fine feature.

Love 'em.

Better than expected!5
I ordered these binoculars for my husband's birthday. They arrived promptly and in excellent condition; well packed. We both were surprised by how powerful they are and easy to use, WOW! Very, very pleased. They are very light weight (nice for these old arthritic arms and hands). The only possible drawback is that they are not waterproof and need to be kept dry at all times, so DH will not be able to take them along on fishing trips unless he double zipper lock bags them.

Amazing binoculars for the price5
I've wanted to purchase a pair of binoculars for a couple of years, but kept putting it off because I figured I'd have to dump at least $300 on a quality pair. I wanted something compact, good quality, and affordable. Not exactly an easy order. But after reading the reviews for these bins, I figured I'd give them a try. All I can say is wow. These are exactly what I was looking for. They provide a very crisp image at the lower magnification levels. And even at 24x, although usually impractical, they are a lot of fun. I find it easy to focus and change the zoom level with one hand which is a plus. For general purpose viewing, these are fantastic binoculars. The bins shipped with a black velcro-flap carrying case with a belt loop on the back, and a small carrying strap that you can attach to your bins.
