the best today WB shows soundtrack ever
Even better than smallville and gilmore girls soundtracks. It's so great i can't help stop listening to it.The songs are so beautiful and well orchestred. Some are joyful and some are sad but not a single made me regret of buying the CD.The bonustrack is a pure pleasure and treat williams has the softer voice i ever heard for a man.But my all time favorite is cathedrals by jump little children,it's so sad and beautiful it makes me want to cry everytime i hear it.Actually i wanted to buy their album but i rather buy the soundtrack and i made the good choice.Jars of clay, jason mraz, leigh nash and stereophonics's songs are great to,but the rest is very good to.Don't hesitate,it's the best compilation of the year full of old songs sang by talented artists whom i loved long before this CD was available...
Young or old, you'll enjoy this mix of the old and new
I'm not a fan of the TV series these songs are taken from, but you don't have to be to enjoy this collection of mostly new versions of old classics. Every track has something to offer to fans of the original recordings. Each one is lovingly redone by some younger artists who obviously like these songs. The opener, Lonely People, originally done by America, is given a mellow interpretation by Jars Of Clay. David Mead captures all the emotions of Simon and Garfunkle on "The Only Living Boy in New York", without copying their version note-for-note. Jason Mraz really twists "Summer Breeze", which was done religiously by Seals and Crofts, but it's a welcome breath of fresh air that the song needed. Even Leigh Nash of Sixpence None The Richer sounds fresh and spontaneous singing Cat Steven's "Father and Son". All in all, it's a very listenable CD, one that I would listen to often. It's even made me curious about the TV series. Maybe that was the plan. Try it, you'll like it.
What a great CD
I bought this CD basically for the Everwood theme which I just love. I play the opening credits of Everwood everytime just to hear it! The rest of the CD is a pleasant surprise...it is great!
