Por motivos de salud, el cura José debe dejar el orfanatorio que dirige en la Sierra Tarahumara y se va a vivir a su pueblo, donde su difunto hermano Luís le ha dejado en herencia un terrenito. José se hace cargo de un niño huérfano a quien el presidente municipal del pueblo y amigo del cura, quería meter a la cárcel por haberse robado un pan. El niño y el señor cura remodelan el viejo terreno que el cura ha heredado para convertirlo en un orfanatorio, pero un cacique del pueblo quiere comprar el terreno para expandir una fábrica de deshilados la cual ha estado contaminando el aire y el agua del pueblo por mucho tiempo. El cura se opone y tratará de cerrar la fábrica para que la gente del pueblo pueda vivir en paz. In Spanish No Subtitles For the sake of his health, José, a priest who runs an orphanage in the mountains, moves to a small town where he has inherited a parcel of land. He takes charge of a small orphan boy whom the mayor of the town wants to jail for stealing bread, and intends to turn the land he inherited into an orphanage. The local town boss wants the land for himself, to expand a textile plant that has been contaminating the local water and air for a long time. Father José opposes this man and tries to shut the plant down for the benefit of the townspeople. In Spanish No Subtitles
