Customer Reviews

Well Worth the Money for Me!5
I love new tools and especially one's that make my job easier or more efficient and reduce job related strains/pains. This one does it all. The hammer is amazing. I love it. I have been a carpenter for 15 years and I have owned many different hammers over the years. I usually carry an estwing which I still have on the truck. But this one stays in my tool belt. It is much lighter and hits with the same force as the heavier hammer. It also has a lot of finesse which I find more useful in trim carpentry. I have found that it doesn't dent trim or wood as much if you miss an occasional nail or two or if just trying to tap a piece in for a good fit. When someone needs to borrow a hammer they are always amazed by it if they haven't seen a Ti hammer before. The claw is perfectly shaped to pull nails efficiently and the head has a nail starter groove in it.

One thing you might want to keep in mind about Ti hammers is that they are not designed to hit heavy hardened steel items such rebar, large demolition chisels and the like. The hardened steel items can damage the face of the Titanium hammer. The Ti is harder than steel but could crack or break if repeatedly hit on a larger hardened steel item. I keep my old estwing on the truck for that purpose.

The handle was a little rough when I received it. I don't like the handle to be too smooth or it could slip out of my hand when using it, but I do like the handle end smooth and sealed to keep water out. I also occasionally use the handle end to tap trim into place sometimes, so I will sand it smooth and apply several coats of a high performance varnish. A no-mar handle end tip would be a nice touch to an otherwise high end hammer. The combination of Ti and this wood handle transmit less of the impact force to your hand/arm/joints that a regular hammer and puts more of that force into the nail. The handle is also very light weight yet has a great feel and strength to it. It's a great match for the Ti hammer head.

One great thing about Titanium is that it won't rust! It's a little expensive but considering that it is under $100, I thing it is a bargain compared to what it would have cost only a few years ago.

If you use a hammer every day why not have a little enjoyment with such a great product and save your elbows and joints a little pain!

Just the best dang hammer ever: STILETTO5
The older I get, the lesser I wanna hurt for days after working on projects. Investing in these titanium hammers is one way to pay upfront on the good tools' cost, but not pay on the backend with the aching arm... Definitely a BUY THESE, strongly recommend this product line. If you can afford it, go for it.
