The 8" jointer offers big capacity and performance in a machine that is loaded with features. Large 4 1/2"x38" centermounted pivoting fence assembly adjusts to 45 degrees in both directions and 90 degrees with positive stops. The extra long 73" bed consists of a 35 1/4" infeed table with an extra long extension rest for rabbeting and a 35 1/2" outfeed table. The bed rides on a dovetail way system for stability and long life. This jointer features Powermatic's controlled chip cutterhead with 3 high-speed steel knives. The fine/quick adjustment lever on the infeed table offers quick set-ups with precision controlled depth of cut. The heavily constructed steel stand features a powerful motor with a non-slip V-belt drive for maximum performance. The 4" dust port offers easy connection to any dust collection system.
