BN-VM200U 1500mAh Li-ion can last only 25min for video recording
I had just bought 1 JVC GZ-MC500U with battery BN-VM200U. Suppose this battery can last for more than 1 hour for continue viedo recording. It give me a suprise that full charge of this GZ-MC500U can only last for 25 min and show no power after that.
Is the battery defective or out of the spec ?
Essential add-on
I bought this battery as a spare for the Everio MC500. It is an exact duplicate to the one that ships with the camera. Battery life is about 40-55 minutes depending on how much zooming and video playback you do. I believe having an extra battery is more important than an extra micro-drive if you can't afford both at once. You can always delete unwanted video clips from the micro-drive to save space. An extra battery allows you to shoot video freely without worry of running out of power.
Battery Pack JVC Everio 500
Just as one would expect. A slim battery for a small camera. Battery life was as promised...so far. I recommend the dual charger and another battery so you never have to worry!
