Amazon.com Review
This is what a miter saw ought to be: accurate, sturdy, powerful, versatile, user-friendly and packed full of cool features.

If we had to choose a favorite aspect, it would have to be the handle. It’s vertical. It’s horizontal. And it’s a couple of other things in between. It locks quickly and easily into any of four positions, so both lefties and righties have complete comfort and control.

This saw is beefy -- it weighs in at 55 pounds and it’s got a nice, wide footprint that promises the ultimate stability, and sliding extensions bring your support area to 37-1/4 inches. If you’re in the market for a stand for this saw as well, we like both the Bosch TracRac as well as the DeWalt DW723.

The dual bevel is a great feature, swinging 47 degrees left and 46 degrees right, with positive bevel stops at 31.6 and 33.9 degrees for flawless crown molding cuts. For miter cuts, the blade swings an impressive 52 degrees left and 60 degrees to the right. There’s even a micro-fine adjustment here, letting you override a detent by as much as 2 degrees. Now that’s precision.

We absolutely love the fence on this saw – Bosch calls it a Speed-track sliding fence – because it’s a full 4 inches tall and has a beautifully readable inch-scale on it. It’s perfect for crown molding, handling pieces up to 6 inches wide when angled against the fence.

We’re suddenly rethinking our earlier statement about our favorite feature on this saw; on second thought, it might well be that all the controls – including the bevel lever – are up front. We’re pretty tired of reaching around a saw body to set a bevel, so this is a most welcome upgrade. Adjustments are so much faster and easier, and all the scales are right up front, too.

Capacities are generous, thanks to the slide, with a max cut of a 2-by-12 at a 45-degree bevel and 3-5/8 by 12 inches when the blade is upright.

And yes, this saw has a laser cutting guide, but unless you really want one, we wouldn’t let that sway a decision on this saw one way or the other. It’s a nice feature if you’re likely to use it, but most of us woodworkers prefer to get a visual on exactly where that blade meets the wood.

In all, this is a beauty of a saw, with features you aren’t going to find on other saws in its class. And we still can’t pick our favorite between the handle and the up-front controls. It’s all good. -- Kris Jensen-Van Heste

From the Manufacturer
The New Bosch 4410L 10-Inch Dual Bevel Slide Miter Saw with Laser Tracking offers the most accurate laser tracking system available, in addition to up-front bevel and miter controls. Engineered for highest visibility, the Bosch arbor laser emits a bright, thin laser line that is visible throughout the cut, enabling the user to perfectly match the cut line to the blade kerf. The arbor laser is battery powered and actuates with the tool, prolonging battery life. An extra set of batteries is included. The dual bevel feature allows ease of cut from either side of workpiece. An upfront bevel lever and adjustment knob make it easy to set cuts from zero to 45 degrees left and right with an override allowing settings up to 47 degrees. A four position adjustable handle provides comfort and accuracy. Tool free clamping levers for built-in sliding base extensions extend the material support up to 37-½ inches. Additional upfront features are a miter lock knob, a miter detent override and a Micro-Fine miter angle adjustment for precise cuts. The 4410L features two 4-1/2 inch tall Speed-Track sliding fences, a built-in length stop, highly visible and easy to read bevel and miter scales, an exclusive precision wedge and slot miter detent system, electric brake and spindle blade lock. A 15-amp motor provides 3 hp (max) tool output, enough power to handle the toughest tasks. Includes premium 60-Tooth Thin-Kerf Carbide-Tipped Blade, dust bag, tool free material quick-clamp and wrench set.

Customer Reviews

very very nice5
I consider myself to be an intermediate woodworker. Using various joints including dovetails, mitres, and other multifaced joints in my work. I bought the 4410l to do a house full of baseboard and some crown moulding and am very pleased with the performance of this saw. Right out of the box, which arrived in only 4 days, the saw produced machinist square cuts and absolutely "light tight" crown cuts. ALL angles came dead accurate from the factory. The laser is just a wow factor and the dust collection isn't the greatest but the cuts this slider makes are a thing of beauty and ease, even with the supplied blade. I honestly don't understand the negative reviews about accuracy with this unit. I have the 10" Bosch contractors saw and its performance was what led me to this sliding mitre saw, Bosch was up to the task again. Fit,finish, upfront controls, the micro fine adjustment was wonerful on the crown cuts,...all great. This is good saw and I recommend it highly.

dont believe the negative reviews - this is one excellent tool5
i was dissapointed to read the negative reviews by others regarding this great tool. i am replacing a makita ls 1013 saw with this one, i have been using the makita brutally for about five years (finish work, cabinets, framing) - it has been great but i was never satisfied with how difficult it was to square the fence to the blade - the adjustment always needed to re re-adjusted; the dual slides became very dirty and difficult to operate and the miter pivot got clogged a lot.

i am impressed with the quality of features and the thoughtfulness of the levers, guages, etc. on the bosch 4410. i really like the way the motor is placed up behind the blade, keeping it out of the way. the saw has tons of power - scary power really. i had heard that there was a lot of plastic on the bosch saws - not so. there is of course some - but most everything is quality machined aluminum - very nice. most of the knobs and pins are coated with a plastic or rubber. all the controls are up front and very intuitive. i really like the operational instructions on a sticker on the saw - very easy to follow. the fact that the two extension wings slide out from the base of the saw is really nice - i was always hunting for those bar supports on the makita.

the saw came securely boxed wrapped in a durable plastic sheet. cut perfectly the first time. i love the high level of visability to either side of the blade and the pivoting top handle is a nice addition.

in short, i could not be more pleased with the quality, function, accuracy and finish of this saw. i tested the squareness of the blade - it was dead on right out of the box. I love the micro adjust feature as well - beats a hammer and a block of wood.

the folks at bosch have really produced a quality machine that i am sure will last for years to come.

if i could give it six stars i would. again, dont be swayed by the negative reviews - i am not sure where that came from...

Bosch 4410L 10" Dual Bevel Slide Miter Saw with Laser Tracking5
For every one out there, the Bosch 4410L is a great saw.
Pro
-On board tool storage for adjustments and blade change
-Up front release for bevel/compound cuts and a max bevel override that does not require you to true it 45 degrees afterward, like the Hitachi C10FSH
-Quick and fine adjustment for depth of cut
-Standard adjustable table extension
-Adjustable trigger handle
-Miter scale is cast (not a sticker like Hitachi C10FSH
-When truing the saw use machinist squares/triangles or a quality combination square and the settings will REMAIN TRUE by far longer than the Hitachi 10" or the Dewalt 12" slide compound
-ect........
Con
-the laser is a 1/32 away from the actual cut and is only active while the blade is spinning
-dust collection is ok but, what slide compound has great dust collection?
-Read the instructions before using the micro adjustment knob
-6 pounds heavier than the Hitachi C10FSH
-you will have to replace the blade

I've owned the Dewalt 12", Hitachi 10" and recently the Bosch 10" slide compound and it is by far the best saw out of the three I've used.
In general the saw is a little complicated but read the directions and you'll be happy.
