Customer Reviews
Interesting and compelling series for young viewers.
I am 10 years old, but I think my review will be relevant because lots of parents will buy this for their kids to learn about the evolution of humans. I liked the level of detail and the reconstructions - it felt like going back in a time machine, and I found myself wanting to watch the series repeatedly. I liked that it had lots of new findings about early human ancestors like Homo heidelbergensis(Goliath)and Homo floresiensis (The Hobbit).
Entertaining and Educational!
National Geographic's Search for the Ultimate Survivor is a documentary that brings to life some of man's earliest (and latest) relatives.
The amount of effort and research put into this project, along with the fantastic computer graphics, helps transport the viewer to another time allowing one to lay eyes on creatures that have been extinct for thousands of years.
The digital re-enactments throughout the documentary added a nice touch and one really does get the feeling that they are there in the company of the Hobbit and Goliath...
Strongly recommended along with the Walking with Dinosaurs, Walking with Beasts, and Walking with Cavemen series. 5 Stars
