Customer Reviews

Awesome5
I have always bought David Allan Coe but this 2 CD set blew me away. Unlike the usual CD's that reissue his well-known, good songs. However, this one included many written by him, unheard by me. I picked it up on a whim, thinking yeah..same old, same old biker bar stuff that is fun...but when I played it,wow. It will break your heart with "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town," "Irish Lullaby," "You Can Always Come back to Me" and then blow your mind with a great "Ride Me Down Easy," "Willy, Waylon and Me" and then give you a Praise the Lord with "Mary Magdeline" and "Why Me Lord." This is the first time I have reviewed anything on Amazon but am an avid country, folk and bluegrass collector and felt I had to say something about this one. To say the least, he did got my attention. Glad to see he's a keeper and worth more attention than he gets.
