Complete Collection Of Hits From Mid-1950 To December 19545
This 2005 release by Country Stars provides, in the order they charted, all 26 of his hit single on RCA Victor from mid-summer 1950 to December 1954, the first 25 billed to Eddy Arnold, The Tennessee Plowboy & His Guitar, and the last one to his new billing of Eddy Arnold & His Guitar.

Made in Portugal, the sound quality is excellent and the insert contains two pages of background notes written by noted author William Hogeland. There is also another nice photo of Eddy. along with a re-listing of the contents showing the position attained on the Country charts.

Seven were # 1 hits (tracks 5, 7, 8, 14, 15, 18 and 22), with There's Been A Change In Me and I Wanna Play House With You being monster hits, each spending 11 weeks at the top spot, the first in early 1951 and the other late that summer. All the rest were Top 10 hits, including three # 2s (Cuddle Buggin' Baby, The Lovebug Itch, and Somebody's Been Beatin' My Time) and it's worth noting that he tops the list of the Most Consecutive Top 10 Country Hits with 67.

As a "Greatest Hits" compilation they don't get much better than this, although you also have to keep in mind that Eddy registered no less than 145 Country hit singles from 1945 to 1983, 30 of which crossed over to the Billboard Pop charts, and 18 to the Adult Contemporary (Easy Listening) charts from their inception in late 1961 to 1970 (strangely, not one of the hits in this compilation was a cross-over).

Eddy Arnold, winner of the 1967 CMA Award as Entertainer Of The Year, was inducted into the Country Music Hall Of Fame in 1966.
