The self-centering pipe jaws, which are hardened steel, can hold up to 6" of pipe safely and securely. Hardened, machine serrated, steel jaw inserts assure a positive hold on whatever your material may be. The enclosed construction keeps lubrication in and contaminants out, while the body is 60,000 PSI tensile ductile iron for mass and strength. The locking swivel base with double lockdowns, make sure there will be no slip in any position. A precision thrust bearing creates greater clamping pressure and increases longevity. The alloy steel slide bar adds strength and is keyed for a precision fit.
