High Hopes Dashed
The only compelling reason to get this drive is LightScribe technology...
Well, it does what it says - however:

1) LightScribe took almost 18-minutes to render / print a modest design (like the one pictured on the box).
2) Very Macintosh unfriendly. Drive doesn't ship with Mac OS X support, although it can be downloaded from LaCie.
3) LightScribe label software for Mac OS X purchased separately.

Regards other aspects of the drive:

1) Cheap plastic enclosure trying to look like metal / trying to look cool.
2) USB 2 support ONLY - why not USB and FireWire?
3) For the size of the enclosure, it should have an internal power supply, however, it has an inline brick.

Another disappointment from LaCie. I'd return it, but I don't want to stiff the retailer with an open box.
