Album Description
Paul Wall is the People's Champ! On the scene in Houston for the last 5 years, Paul Wall has been hip hop's favorite MC. Fresh off the chart topping Mike Jones single "Still Tippin'," Paul Wall is doing his own thing on his debut single "Sittin' Sidewayz" featuring Big Pokey from SUC. The limited edition album will include the regular version along with the chopped & screwed version of the album.
Customer Reviews
"Hey everyone I'm Paul Wall, the most generic rapper ever!"
OK so I saw a picture of this guys teeth on a website advertisement, and wanted to see just who thought doing that to themself was a good idea. So, for a laugh, I went to Amazon to check him out.
Sure enough, the guy looks and sounds like the biggest tool ever. He sounds like what my dad thinks rappers sound like.
Seriously dude, you're rapping about selling braces? Last time I checked being a dentist doesn't give you that much "street cred."
This CD is pretty good..
If you're like me you probably saw this guy on MTV and said "damn another white rapper.. he's probably a wannabe". Cuz if you're like me, it took a few years for you to even appreciate Eminem, and once you decided you liked Em you figured that he would be the only white rapper worth listening to. Well I agreed with you until Paul Wall dropped this CD.. I expected it to be lame, I wanted to hate it and just say he sucks and stay with Eminem as my only white rapper in my CD collection, but this CD surprised me. It's pretty damn tight all the way through folks. I like it.. if you like screwed music, sippin syrup, any of that south stuff about grills, rides, and keepin it trill go ahead and pick this one up. He does a good job representing Houston and the South... a pretty damn good CD. Not amazing, probably didn't deserve to be the #1 album, but hey it's pretty stompin. You'll probably like it.
Honest Opinion
i'm not really feeling the album. I liked the single "Sittin Sideways" and also "Drive Slow". But the album as a whole...?? it's not that hot. the beats are lacking... paul wall sounds like he has down syndrome... if it wasn't for the guest appearances, the album would REALLY be a flop. "the people's champ", definately not the highpoint of my cd collection. ;\
