The Story of a National Heroine
This is a wonderful video of the life and work of a political activist. Susan Anthony was a crucial figure in the development of a new system of women's rights. The story of her childhood and Quaker family that is documented in the film is very educational. Her background encouraged her to become the woman that she was. Every mother should show this video to her teenage daughter (and son also). Susan Anthony's life will motivate and encourage their participation in political life. This video was produced with great attention to detail and had many good interviews of present historians.
Interesting and informative
I ordered this film in the hopes I could use it in my politics class:
met / exceeded my expectations. It was well done; good photos / realia from the period, well narrated, just enjoyable. Yet short enough to use in class. Well done.
